Welcome to the Jacklin Language Center 

Thank you for visiting! I started my language learning journey as a toddler in the Virgin Islands, stepping in a red ant hole and watching The Flintstones in Spanish with calamine lotion on my foot. By age eight, I was speaking very basic Spanish with my big sister at the dinner table. After struggling through disastrous language classes, living with a family in Guadalajara at sixteen, and traveling across Europe, I discovered something crucial: language learning doesn’t have to be hard.

Since 1992, I’ve dedicated my career to proving this—teaching in Barcelona, Geneva, and running The Jacklin Language Center in France for 20 years and Switzerland for 13 years. My team and I taught students from age 3½ to 80 across eight languages and secured business contracts with companies like RUAG Switzerland, FedEx Geneva, Lilly Geneva, and Voltaire Business School.

Today, I offer transformational language courses in Saint Augustine, Florida. They’re transformational because we break the myths—especially the biggest one: “I can’t learn a language.” The truth? It’s not you. It’s the system. Traditional institutions across the world teach languages as is they are teaching history, math, biology, literature or linguistics. That simply doesn’t work for language acquisition. My approach is different, and it gets results.

I’m also writing a book series—Phillip Jacklin’s Easy Way to Learn Languages and guides like Phillip Jacklin’s Easy Tourist French—to help learners worldwide, especially Americans who’ve had limited exposure to languages due to geography. Thanks to technology, that’s changing. Never before has language learning been more accessible.
